@Gaea,

Even though we can't win in multiple categories, can we still submit them? This way if we lose in one, there is a chance to win in the other. J/W

Gaea:
Yes you can submit to both categories, and if it happens you win in both, the highest placement will be kept.

Thanks for the clarification.

Gaea:
You can submit 6 entries a day, one in each tier category.

Gaea:
Achievements are not counted for the Casual category, only your base XP is counted.

Thanks for the help.

Not by accident :) I didn't have a screenshot of the end of battle window for that one battle that I posted so I wasn't able to include the damaged/destroyed/spotted points. But the end of battle window or a replay is require for the hard core category.

This contest is only for our NA server players.
It is also open to everyone, not just US and Canada. The Social Security is for those living in the US as receiving the laptop may require them to file it with the IRS.

It says you get points for damages, kills and detects; and yet it doesn't say you need a replay or end of battle screen to prove this?
So I'm wondering, what's the go. Was that list of points just pasted from other competitions and the first 3 lines forgot to be deleted.
OR
IF they are to be included in the calculation, why don't we need a screenshot to prove. As people can just say that damaged 10 tanks when they only damaged 2, and get more points than they really did. <_<
I know this will be cleared up, thanks in advance. :Smile_honoring:

GeneralDirection: Yes, screenshots must include the end of battle results showing destroyed, damaged and spotted.

GeneralDirection: It will start on the 6th. If we have to modify the schedule we will, so that it fits within the month. But I wouldn't be too worried about it; January's started on the 9th and ended on the 23rd. So if it starts on the 13th there's a good chance we can make it fit in February, even with a marginal increase in team participation. The January schedule would have supported as many as 256 teams before needing another round.
Regarding required # of wins -- yep, it will be increased to 3.

"By participating in the Promotion, Entrant consents to Sponsor’s use of his or her name, photograph and/or likeness, address, voice, and statements made by or attributed to him or her, in perpetuity, in any and all media now known or hereafter developed (including, without limitation, print, broadcast, and Internet), for all business purposes including advertising and promotional activities without additional compensation, notice or approval, unless prohibited by law."
I wouldn't want my personal information to be forfeited, or be used in whatever thing you may like.
Also, assuming I won:
" Individuals may request the name of the Winners by sending an email to events@worldoftanks.com or submitting a self-addressed, stamped, envelope before April 30, 2012 to World of Tanks Promotion, Winners’ List Request, Wargaming America Inc., 801 S. Winchester Blvd, Ste 6404, San Jose, CA 95128. Residents of Vermont may omit return postage."
So, anybody could receive my in-game name, or real life name just by mailing you? Really? God forbid it, but you do... you should know there are some wacky people out there.
Hell, I would rather just receive the anonymous gold prize, like in all of the other contests. This one just seems like you have to:
1. Work you "Butt" off, and get extremely lucky to win
2. You gain the right to use my personal information at will.
>.> <.<
In addition I have to provide my social security number, or taxpayer ID? ...
" Winners may be required to provide a Social Security number or Taxpayer ID "
Whyusosrsoversimpleprizes?

GeneralDirection: US law requires prizes with a value of $600 USD or more be submitted to the IRS for tax purposes. If you win the laptop, you're free to pass on it should you not want to deal with that. It would then go to the runner-up.
Regarding the request for names, that is a list of game names -- not real names. We will never give your real name out to anyone without your consent (for example, if we interviewed you and you were okay with your real name being used).

GeneralDirection: Also keep in mind you can only win in one category. So for example, if you finish in 1st place in Hardcore on day one, you're not eligible to win again. This is so we have more than one person vying for a laptop at the end.

I.E.  If I kill 6, damage 2, get top gun and sniper, and get 1500 XP (on premium), my score would be:
1500/15 = 100
6 Kills = 12
2 Damaged = 4
Top Gun = 3
Sniper = 3
100 + 12 + 4 + 3 + 3 = 122 points?
Also, when you say "You must have earned the minimum XP required (base XP)", is that for just the XP part of the score, or including the kills/damages/achievents I.E.  this one (1500/15=100) would be a good enough score to enter for tier 5-7, but not tier 8-10, or since the total is over 120, would it be enough to enter in 8-10?

Gaea: Your calculations are correct. The minimum XP required is a way to limit the amount of entries and give you guys a challenge for these prizes. The minimum XP required is based solely on the XP you earned, not the total points with achievements. So the 1500 XP (100 XP points seeing it's premium) would be enough for the tier 5-7, but not the tier 8 - 10.

I cn't understand how to devide my exp i got 662 EXP.. STANDARD account... but im confused in D Double XP: divide your total XP by 2 and then:...
Standard accounts: divide your total XP by 10

so the rules about to divide is 662/2 = 331 then i divide it in 10?.. so my total exp points is 33.1 exp. this is correct? thanks if wrong correct me. how

Gaea:
If the battle you are submitting received double XP (for the first victory of the day with that tank), you first need to divide your XP by 2 (or 3 if on triple XP) and then divide it by 10 (if standard account) or 15 (if premium account).

Can both Hardcore and Casual groups compete for the Laptop?
So the more battles I report the better chance of winning the Laptop?

GeneralDirection: Since the laptops will be awarded purely based on experience points, yes, casual submissions can win a laptop. :)

The garage slot however is not showing at 150gold even when buying the tank, it still shows 300gold  .
This work for anybody else?

GeneralDirection: Garage slots are not half off as part of this special. BUT, they will be starting tomorrow! - http://worldoftanks....sale-jan-26-31/
