My question is: Does the server count me as a TK for that, even though he took 95% of my health before I killed him?

ARGO: YES, Please let the program take care of him, and yes it will catch up with him. I know it sucks to have some clown pot shotting you, but it sucks even worse when the clown gets you banned for defending yourself and paying for his damages too which in some cases is why they do it. So, let the next one fire away, because in the end, you get paid and he gets banned....or worse, other players will remember him and he develops himself a bad rep. Always remember, never feed a troll on forum or ingame.

View PostMeinKampfyKouch, on May 15 2012 - 11:20, said: So I recently started the game a month ago after seeing a few screenshots online and my first impressions of the game were pretty nice. Now I'm 1k battles into the game and I'm already frustrated almost every time I play it. I know how the community view's winrates as a gauge of a person's skill and it's really (really) annoying that I'm 40 losses ahead and hanging around 46% win rate. Currently grinding a KV-1S towards an IS and I've just lost my 10th battle in a row. 90% of the time I get matched up with tier 8-10 forcing me to play very passively (unless I want to go do 0 dmg to their rear at point blank range using the 85mm). When I do get matched up with lower tiers, I play to carry, sometimes netting 3 or more kills and getting 20k or more credits but even then sometimes my team ends up failing somehow.
So I want to ask, does it get any better or should I just stop caring about winrates?

ARGO: I will tell you in all confidence, I myself do not care the least about win rates of stats, I am here to play and have fun. Some look for stats, some base a player by them, I do not and if you were to look at my stats you may consider me average even though I have been here playing since the earliest days of BETA. I have had many, MANY, days like you have described and I have always regarded good fun and gameplay over the wins and stats. Heck I have had games that where such nail biters and then lost by a hair and found myself congradulating my enemy for his ingenuity because I had a great match. Don't listent to the stat hounds, don't believe all the hype, If your having fun and you did what you could to help your team and still had a good time, You have accomplished your goal and give WG a thank you for making a great game. Simple as that....

GeneralDirection: We are developing new medals.

View PostAstto, on May 12 2012 - 04:29, said: Why where there so many new Russian tanks, changes, buffs, specials (Training, XP and etc) for the Russian patch but none of the above for other nations patches?

GeneralDirection: The specials are designed in most cases based on historical events. There are far more historical events during World War II (and in some cases WWI) involving Russian and German tanks than there are US or French. But to be honest, I design the specials and try to keep them as balanced as possible.
June for example has a very good balance in the tanks included in specials. In fact, you might be able to argue there's more 'love' given to US and Germany during the month overall (though slightly).

GeneralDirection: We don't have any plans to add new Chinese tanks at this time. I'll pass the feedback about removing it from the store on to the design team.

View Postployer, on May 14 2012 - 20:56, said: It is probably way too soon to really answer this, but I'm going to ask anyway. Reading about the Garage Battles mode ( which sounds awesome! ) five players choose five tanks from their garage and a battle thus ensues. Will we be able to form 5 person companies so we can do this with friends?

GeneralDirection: Interesting idea -- I'll pass it on for discussion. Garage Battles are still a little ways away compared to other game modes (they aren't in 7.4), so it's a good time to get ideas on them.

Just keep it to world cup format:2 division leaders goto "The Cup Round"
Wild cards are only for a handful of spots, tie breaker round if needed.
Final tourney size is based on Division Count. Cup Round starts the single elimination.
Your current setup is not the "US" wildcard model, it's a model one of your Dev's came up with, 28 Divisions and 36 Wildcards? I know you think it matches the MLB system, but it's ludacris to have more Wildcards than Divisions.
ASK YOUR COMMUNITY before your meetings in the conference room to decide structures. Trust us we can help you! Dev's should not decide on Sport related decisions, just as Jocks should not write code.
When you set up these weird rules, and communicate poorly the structure you lose Credibility in the NA market, again. Clan's have members that diseminate the confusing info to their less technical members. We do that for Wargaming all the time to keep 70% of our Clan-mates happy and grinding. You will not convert PUB players when you appear to have little clue on how to make the process easy and logical.
This Tourney has been entertaining to play in regardless of the odd rule shifts, and playoff/roster announcements. Next time just ask us up front and we can practically write the copy for you. <- not a jab at your past grammer WG ;)
Looking forward to the playoffs-

lord_farquad: There will probably be a feedback thread generated after the league is over. So I'd ask you to keep any ideas for then so that we can take a look at them in more detail. We know there were issues with this league, but this was a very new thing for us. So we will be gathering a lot of feedback and making some major changes to improve the next league.

GeneralDirection: Just for a bit of clarification: ties for the last wild card spots will go through tie breakers -- not all ties within the wild card bracket. So, if the 36th wild card slot has teams tied for it, they'll play for it. The wild cards are being seeded randomly for the 36 teams that make it this time around.

The bulk of mods are permitted within the forums.
Mods are prohibited within the forums if they contain executable files and are thus are a security risk for our players.

The teams in 1st place aren't guaranteed yet and if they fall to second they could end up on the far backside of the bubble.
For instance the two teams tied for first place in Division 2 have 14 points at 69th place in the classic. If they remained tied for the rest of the season then both should go on despite their lower points. WG has never said how they will rule the winner of tied divisions so I’m assuming that’s what will happen. However, if one (or both) loses or ties then they are on the bubble and will probably get passed up because their overall points are much less for a 2nd/3rd place team when compared with other divisions.
I'll try to remember to run it with the 1st thru +28th places to first place teams next week but it should matter more after week 8-9 when there are only 3 points to play with.

GeneralDirection: Division ties will be settled by a tie breaker round the same way a tie for a wild card spot would be settled.

Why continue to post an "official matchmaker thread" only to ignore it and then act like you really care about getting contructive feedback when its been given over and over and over and over and over in the countless matchmaker threads? Do you really care? Is it really that hard to get someone with some real power and or authority to actually come in and discuss things with us? I am sorry some moderator or community rep isnt the same as a developer or other REAL decision maker coming to talk with us. Its pretty sad that you refuse to address the single most complained about feature in your game. Why have all the smoke and mirrors and run the sham of the matchmaker thread when its obvious you could really care less? I am sick of seeing you guys poopin in one hand and offerin features in the future in the other and wondering why one hand is always full and stinking and the other is always empty when we have told you what the problems are.

GeneralDirection: The official matchmaker thread exists because it's a single place to have the discussion about the matchmaker.

Surely you could spend some of the money getting made to have someone cobble something together?!? Is the problem you cant figure out how to make such a horrible matchmaker a second time and you dont want us to have a better and more enjoyable experience?!? It couldnt be that hard to make a 30 person deathmatch mode or even a capture/defend mode(just delete one flag one team can win by running time out other by taking flag either wins by kill other tanks) yet here we are months laters still TALKING about adding a feature...
How about you guys do a bit more working and adding of features and then TALK about how much you have ACTUALLY done not about how much you want to do in some nebulous never coming future....

GeneralDirection: There are two new game modes in 7.4.

lord_farquad: In the event of any draws, we have a week in between the events to hold tie-breakers, as stated in the initial announcement of playoff details.

lord_farquad: No point limit.
