Nacht_Jager, on Nov 08 2012 - 16:13, said: I was very shocked to see the new 8.2 patch notes, I had thought
that the issue of there not being enough Chinese tank designs to
fill a tech tree had pretty much put the issue to bed. However, we
are now going to be getting a new tree full of designs taken from
other nations and labeled as Chinese.
I personally see this as a blatant money making move. Wargaming simply want to appeal to the vast Chinese market by giving them a tree of their own. Never mind that it means using about 10 designs already in-game in other trees. I personally think that the Chinese tree is unimaginative and uninteresting. Also, the tier 10 is probably an improved variant of the WZ-111, a rip off of the IS-3. Great, an up-gunned IS-3 as a tier 10. This just gets better and better.
Please support this thread if you, like me would rather see some more genuine and original content. I mean its not like there's a shortage of designs out there that still have yet to be implemented. When they have brought in the British TD's and SPG's, Japanese, Italians, European tree, and possibly Commonwealth trees, then by all means fabricate a Chinese tree.
EDIT: I am seeing a lot of 'If you don't like it, don't play it arguments, and to be quite honest with you, I'm 99% sure that I wont be playing the new tanks. However my issue is with the order of the updates. This would appear to be really scraping the bottom of the ideas barrel. There are loads of great tank designs that could be implemented; why resort to Chinese copy-tanks?
Also, I find it kind of ironic how that was about the best trailer for WOT I have seen

release the new American branch.

It doesn't say anything about adding up your kilometers that you drove, shouldn't that be the most important thing in the email ?

Question: Under the "Personal Score" tab, does WG need to see the whole scrolling screen of whom one's destroyed, hit how many times, critical hit(s), spotted damaged, detected?
I ask because its all to common for the Battle Results' Personal Score tab, simply to be too short to show everything in the 9 spaces given, when a player dominates 10 to 15 enemy in match.

competitive tier 8 tanks in the game. It's major competitor being
the IS3. I think you'll find that as you learn how to play the T32

Mugsy_: Espionage and Counter-Espionage
The Intelligence mechanism of ‘Clan Wars’ has been reworked fully. Now to perform intelligence operations a clan needs to prepare a ‘Spy’ (a sort of ‘special chip’), which will cost your clan treasury 300 gold and will be produced 24h after the order. No clan can have more than 3 such "Spy" chips. Once an trained spy has infiltrated an enemy clan, it will allow you to see the location of all their forces (chips) on the Global Map, and also it’s HQ. This information will be available during the whole time of agents work – starting from infiltration until agent failure. Successful infiltration in a clan is not guaranteed and depends on various factors. Espionage can only be executed, or in other words implemented, by the clan commander and his deputy.
Learn more about espionage
In order to combat espionage clans can now perform counter-intelligence. For this they will have to prepare a ‘special chip’ – counterspy, and send it to one of its provinces. For the next 24 hours the province will look empty for enemy, even if there are clan forces (chips). Furthermore, counter-espionage operations performed on clan controlled territory will decrease the enemy's chances to infiltrate a spy and also increase the chances of currently infiltrated agents to fail. Counter-espionage may be performed only by the clan commander and his deputy.
Learn more about counter-espionage
Aside from that, additional changes were made to Global Map:
The design of chips display on the map was changed: a chip icon with a cipher will represent quantity of chips in the province instead of the chips rouleau.
Maps were changed for several provinces:
Lebanon - 'Airfield'
Maysan - 'Airfield'
Tangier-Tétouan - 'Airfield'
Laâyoune-Boujdour-Sakia El Hamra - 'Airfield'
Tlemcen - 'Airfield'
Sétif - 'Airfield'
El Kef - 'Airfield'
Misrata - 'Airfield'
Western Al Wahat - 'Airfield'
Matrouh - 'Airfield'
Beheira - 'Airfield'
Dakhla - 'Airfield'
Ar-Raqqah - 'Airfield'
Al Muwaylih - 'Airfield'
Safania - 'Airfield'
Added 3 additional starting points on following provinces:
Krasnodar Territory
Astrakhan Region
Arkhangelsk Region
Please take a moment to leave your input on these changes.
Thank you.

Aside from that, additional changes were made to Global Map:
The design of chips display on the map was changed: a chip icon with a cipher will represent quantity of chips in the province instead of the chips rouleau.

Maysan - 'Airfield'
Tangier-Tétouan - 'Airfield'
Laâyoune-Boujdour-Sakia El Hamra - 'Airfield'
Tlemcen - 'Airfield'

GeneralDirection: It's an interesting idea that we've discussed. The system to
support it is the difficult part, so we haven't been able to work
on it to this point.

Subject: Official 8.1 Premium Shells for Credit Feedback Thread
Link on message: #2991829
Link on message: #2991829
Mugsy_: With the introduction of Update 8.1, we introduced the possibility
of buying premium shells not only with gold but also with credits
(in testing mode). By doing so we intend to give all the tankers an
equal chance in the battle, so that the outcome of the game will
depend more on players’ skills and experience. Thus, if necessary,
any player can top up his ammo not only with standard shells, but
also premium shells, which were previously unavailable for
credits.
The price of premium shells in credits will be the same as the price in gold using the standard gold into credits conversion rate: 1 gold = 400 credits.
The possibility of purchasing premium shells with credits is a very significant change which requires certain checks and the collection of a large amount of combat statistics. The testing period for this innovation will last from the release of Update 8.1 to the release of Update 8.2.
After we have gathered the results and conducted research, we will decide on whether to leave this feature in the game on a regular basis or not, which will be reported separately.
Please take a moment to share your thoughts on this grand experiment.

tier 7 and tier 8's in such large numbers it's not only
discouraging it's futile, one shot and you're
dead. Combine that with the standard response to
disappearing (and I don't care what excuse you use it doesn't make
any good sense, if so why don't the planes in World of Warplanes
hmmmm?) enemy tanks constant disappearing and popping up behind or
in front of you killing you instantly.
I'm disabled and have played a lot of war time simulators and can tell you from first hand experience, no one wants to start off learning the ropes and getting constantly killed with little or no learning and not getting kills. There has to be a happy medium between the newbies and the old war horse playtime.
