I attended the NY gathering last year at Dave and Busters. They had food and coupons for beer but no T shirts. There were several staffers that I recognized, General Direction, Lord Farquar, Gaea? and a few others. We had a private room and there was a question and answer session that was the best.
This one ..well you showed up got in line got a T shirt,a hat, bonus code handed out by people who I didnt recognize and that was it. Poof. A handful of gamers in a loud room. A couple of us left to get food and that was great.
I do appreciate the freebies but I was hoping for more especially after last year. Some socialization with staffers would have been real cool.

GeneralDirection: Sorry you were disappointed. I think if you had the chance to chat with Marcus it would have been different.
This event was organized as part of the Road Tour, but we will definitely be back for a Community team event in the near future.

View PostMcPig, on Jun 30 2013 - 01:09, said: The credit scale should be inverse.  I will be easier to complete these with a Tier X versus a Tier V.   Therefore more skill and cunning will be needed by the lower tiers engaging in these; unless the mission tanks are limited to the same Tier as the challenging tanks.  As it is the Tier X tanks have a distinct advantage for success than lower tiers.  And not all of us have Tier X's yet....
100XP x T10 = 1000
100XP x T5   =  500
So a T62 will have an easier and more lucrative outcome than a T34 given the exact same mission, and the T34 will have to work much harder to get it.
However, IF the mission tanks are a random selection of tiers then a Tier V should get more points for completion than a Tier X.
So I suggest that instead of (1000XP x Tier N = R), it would make more sense to have it as
(10000 XP / Tier N= R).
10000xp / T10 = 1000
10000xp / T5  = 2000
That way a Tier X finishing the mission gets the 1000XP, but a Tier V would get 2000XP as a recognition of the greater difficulty in completion using the weaker tank.

GeneralDirection: This is an interesting idea from a reward formula standpoint, but it goes against the goals of the system. We don't want to discourage high-tier play; in fact, we want to encourage it, because as others have said, it's the most challenging part of the game from a skill standpoint.
Getting rewarded for a great battle at tier X should feel awesome, because it's not easy. It's the point in time where things start to make sense, in terms of team strategy, personal tactics, etc. It's basically when, if you play at the tier enough, everything 'clicks' and you're more engrossed in the overall mechanics of the game.
So we want to push more players to that part of the game, not the opposite. We definitely want a healthy number of players at all tiers, but not at the detriment of the top tiers of the game.

This is beyond frustrating, since I'm pretty damn good in my Ferdi (it's currently my favorite TD over the JagdPanther). I thought the armor increase would help, but this thing seems to just take hits everywhere.
Am I really this bad in my first Tier 9, or is the weekend noobfest screwing me over...as usual? How do you other JT owners play this thing? I expected it to just play like the Ferdi. issue 3

Yoott: issue 1 .... takes more then 18 games to get experienced with it and understand its capabilities (that holds true for almost every tank in game)
issue 2 .... 75% crew while better then 50% is a huge hindrance still.. this weekend has a half off retraining sale going for gold training, if you have the means its worth it at worst for commander loader gunner.
issue 3 ..... as said above the JT is a huge target, while yes having more hps it has lower camo value and is a primary target for all who spot you... play second level sniper, this thing is a beast when you get used to it
