The_Chieftain:   Not seeing that thread, but Hunnicutt is pretty clear that it was "M26E4 Temporary Pilot #1"   [Edit. It's worth observing that the photos do still have the T26E1-1 painted on the side, although I suspect that the folks at Aberdeen were not worried about getting paintbrushes just because the Ordnance Committee made a pronouncement]

The_Chieftain:   True, and there are a number of reasons for that, but with Tiger, he did a multiple-part in-depth one with the mechanics and operators, so I think this tank stands out in his series.

The_Chieftain:   I don't know about the Navy, but the Army conducts what is known as a "SPENDEX" on the basis that it's too much hassle to turn in.   We even did it leaving Iraq. Stopped a couple miles short of the Kuwaiti border, and made some holes in the desert with man-throwable HE (Grenades)

The_Chieftain:   Pain is reinforcing.   And airsoft can be painful if you're just wearing thin gear. Plus there's a lot less paperwork involved in airsoft compared to blank ammo.

The_Chieftain:   ?!   Airsoft is used in the US Army as well. It's cheaper than Simunitions, and generally a whole lot less paperwork hassle.

The_Chieftain:   True. I had about twenty minutes last night in between tasks, and instead of playing three games, I had a seven-minute queue time and one game.   Problem with Abrams is that everyone in the US is likely to do it, and I like being different. Plus I was curious to see how you handled technological issues like jammers, ERA etc.

Each day from Thursday until Sunday, there will be three daily tournaments - 3 pm PT, 5 pm PT and 7 pm PT. Continuing on the march to victory, team sizes have increased! dance210:   Hi!   When teams tie for points, we work through our draw rules.   1. Head-to-head: How well did the teams do against each other?  Team A and Team B are tied in points. Team A defeated Team B when they faced each other. Therefore, Team A is the winner.   If Team A and B drew against each other, then no winner can be found. We would move on to the next step.   2. Head-to-head against group leader: How well did the teams do against the top team. Obviously, this is only applicable when they aren't tied for 1st place. Team A and B drew against each other during the battles, so there is no winner. The next question is how did they do against the leader.   If Team B defeated the leader and Team A lost to the leader, then Team B would win and rank higher than Team B.   If both teams won (or lost) against  the team leader, then a winner couldn't be found. We move on to the next step.   3. Opponent Strength: What was the rank of the teams that they lost to? Opponent strength looks at the rank of the teams that Team A and Team B lost to. If Team A lost to a weak opponent (lower rank) and Team B lost to a strong opponent (higher rank), then Team B would be declared the winner and have a higher rank than Team A.   If neither team lost to any other team(s), then there could be no winner. At that point, it would be considered a complete draw, and both teams would earn the prize.   Does this make sense?   Also, this description is based on a two-way tie. As more teams are tied for points, it becomes more unwieldy to work through which team is ranked where. If you have any questions about specific tournaments, tell me the tournament name and your team name and I can walk you through how the draw was resolved

The_Chieftain: My premium time in AW ends this week, I have to decide if I'm going to re-up. I took a bit of a hiatus last month, life issues. Made it as far as T-80, and I'm wondering if I went up the wrong line. I just can't seem to punch through anything, and my armor seems useless. The grind seems longer than WoT as well.
