Draschel: Armor rarely is what it is, in these seen and used tests. Case in
point, RHMA, rolled homogenous monolithic armor, is a singular
fashioned or entirely seamed (not laminated) plate. Rolled
homogenous armor, is extremely heavy, and not entirely efficient
for its heavy weight. For example, RHMA doesn't protect too well at
all, VS chemical HEAT jet which is ignited then forcefully
propelled forward at blazing speed, sheering armor. It doesn't
protect too well against physical emanated shock either, like putty
HESH detonating causing vibration and inner spall. Simply put, RHMA
is old and obsolete, but a good standard. A control, for testing
purposes. M318A1 90mm AP round, pretty common in post
war, cold war, nato countries adopting the 90mm gun, could
penetrate nearly 200mm RHMA @ 0'' incident angle, @ 25m. While this
seems thick, it does not include armor perforation performance
against angled targets. Targets with spaced armor profiles, for
deflecting/degrading performance. Laminates, for
deflecting/degrading performance. And of course
ranged degradation, @ 1,500m that 90mm AP shot drops to not
even 150mm, losing 1/4 its pen. By the T-62 tank, the Soviets were
already incorporating lainates into turret cavity and front upper
glacis, bolstering a tanks resilience. That is why the 60s was
quick to introduce and up-gun tanks to 105mm and 120mm guns. The 90
was not enough.

announcement.But... I just want to say. Nothing WG says
is ever set in stone. Look at stuff like not adding
armored cars to the game, never selling the Beta test tanks
again, etc.

churchill50: The idea is definitely to gradually build your skills as you move
up the tiers. That said, tier 10 is still its own ballgame in
a lot of ways. You can be pretty good in tiers 8 and 9 and yet be
pretty bad at tier 10.The method I used, which I still suggest, is
to find a tank that's pretty strong and you like playing (I picked
the WZ-111 5A back in the day) and spam 200 games in it. Just
playing that much tier 10 in a short time frame can help acclimate
you to it.Tanks I would suggest using in the current meta would be
the T110E5, S Conq, Vz. 55, Kranvagn, E100, Obj 277, IS-7, and
WZ-111 5A. Tanks that are solid, not too difficult to play (as
compared to a Leopard I or STB-1), and rather strong.

churchill50: That I would completely agree with. 190 pen is really
annoying these days. I also really dislike premium tanks where you
have to fire a decent amount of prem, since that kind of defeats
the purpose...And the fact that it only carries 30 shells adds to
the issue and encourages full prem pen in it since if you use 50/50
AP/APCR you risk only having partial clips at the end of a battle.

churchill50: I would disagree. It would be far too strong as a pref mm
tank. I actually think it's fine as a standard mm tank. The
only real issue I've had with it so far is the predominance of
roflstomp battles where it can't get damage out quickly enough.But,
besides the issue with those battles, the tank performs fine I
think. It has some weaknesses, but it has plenty of strengths to
counter them. It just has to be played carefully.

churchill50: When you change a crew member's qualification (from Radio Operator
to Loader for instance), the skills are reset
automatically. If you just mean retraining them to a new
tank and then resetting their skills (it's not totally clear from
your post?), then you can right-click on the crew member, click on
Profile, and then reset their skills in that screen near the bottom
left.

Jambijon: Greetings everyone! Similar to what I did for the previous
iteration of this event, I'm going to add the updated guide we put
together here. Of course its not a end all be all of guides
for this event but should give a better idea for those starting
out. For the quick and easy, heres a quick video:
For a more wordy guide click the spoiler:Tactics Guide Harriers: Work together or lose First and foremost, play in a platoon if possible. Avoid the Waffentrager! Do your best to keep out of line of sight and try to put some distance in between you. Stay out of it's EMP blast radius. The inner most circle can do major damage while the outer radius will shock you (stun your tank). This blast goes through any objects or obstructions. It is possible to avoid the blast while in the radius if you are in lower or higher elevation than the WT If there's no way out try to occupy the WT attention for as long as possible. Keep the WT spotted! Take advantage of your mobility! Try to make the WT reposition if you have their attention. Kiting the WT is extremely helpful for your teammates who are engaging bots. Use your boost! Either for escape or relocating across the map. Your medkit can remove the shocked/stun effect. Resistor (Obj 140): The railgun ability is less accurate but increases overall damage and does more module damage (shoot those bots engines) Thunderbolt (Patton): The siege mode increases fire rate but decreases mobility so make sure you’re relatively safe before enabling it. Foudre (bat-chat): The shield (ballistic dome) does not protect against from physics damage (ram/fall) and the EMP blast. If timed right it can be used as a shield to protect the plasma carrier on the way or capturing the generators. Better to save the shield for the WT than the bots unless the WT is far enough to give you time for the cooldown. Plasma: The first time a plasma is picked up it will restore some HP to your team. The generator itself can be used as cover. Faster tanks (Foudre) should prioritize delivering the plasma. If needed, the plasma can be dropped using the N key. When carrying the plasma you do get a damage buff to the WT. Bots: Remember, the bots spot for the WT Don't stick around just to get a bot kill, they won't go anywhere. Your lives are more valuable, especially during early game. Shoot the bot's engines! The bots have an extremely high chance of catching fire when their engine is struck. Focus fire the bots! It's better the get a gun out of the fight than maximizing damage output. Don't sit in front of bots. They deal damage too. Bot's spawn level and location is shown on the mini-map. Attacking the WT: The WT has no weakpoints so it doesn't matter where you shoot it. Though dangerous, faster tanks can circle the WT since it’s traverse isn’t great but be sure to have an escape plan or distract as long as possible. Be sure to be opposite to your team when shooting the WT. It can only look at one target at a time. If you have lives to spare, be aggressive but efficient. You want to take the attention away from teammates that may have less lives to spare. Make the WT use its bad traverse speed with a full surround. It is possible to bounce a WT shot so hull down positions can be effective. Remember, it takes a max of 2 shots from the WT to destroy you (if you haven’t healed). Blitzträger auf E 110: Shoot Tanks. Secure the kill! The Harriers have options for regaining hp. Don't be afraid of reloading the clip. It doesn't take too long (13 seconds) Shoot tanks Rush them to break them up from attacking your minion tanks. Use your EMP shell or blast to slow down pesky circling or fleeing Harriers Shoot tanks Protect the lower tier minions Higher tiers are obviously tougher on the harriers Ram those pesky harriers who wonder too close. The EMP blast is great for defending the generators and will reset the capture time. The plasma carriers are highlighted so focus them down. The EMP shot is great for slowing them down and countering the harrier charge ability. I'm sure there's a ton of stuff I missed so feel free to comment any advice you have. churchill50: Deathstar got quite a substantial buff, since the HESH can
pen spaced armor and tracks now. It does do less damage on a
non-pen, but you can be much more consistent with
penning.

it burst because it isnt .... 720 in 2s is burst

Being A - Team matters. Most top 50 clans will have a 15 team
member A - Team, that exclusively plays and plays and plays and
plays. Playing that much, means wins. And you need those for Fame.
Doesn't really matter the clan, these A - Team guys end up getting
a tank usually. To be A - Team, since you don't have
(Chief) as that is your goal.....what you want is any of 279E, 260,
907, 121B, VK7201. Not all is glum though without them, tech tree
tanks like object 277, Super conquer, STB1, 140, 110E3, Strv, Leo,
EBR, T100LT, CGC work too.

I ace it relatively regularly
but I play very, very aggressively and my games swing wildly from
amazing to "are you a bot" levels depending on how the dice rolls.
