LiannaSilverwind: Armor is worth more. Armored tanks will like it, tanks with low penetration cannons will suffer.

LiannaSilverwind: 5% less frequent.
I have noticed 19.4% min/max chance on RU forum mentioned. Now it should be around 15%. There was great discussion about exact numbers and devs confirmed something around 15%.
In short: we all play Dice game.

LiannaSilverwind: 3) Spaced armor and tracks will provide much more efficient defense against HEAT shells, especially when being shot at bad angles.
4) We change spall liners - small one provides 15 % protection as now, medium 20 %, large 25 %, superheavy 30 % - new spall liner for 80-90 t tanks.
Important addition

LiannaSilverwind: 1) Extreme numbers of minimal/maximal damage/armor penetration will become 5 % less frequent, average numbers for damage/penetration will become more frequent.
2) TDs will get 50 % more experience for damage only, SPGs will get 33 % more experience for damage only. They will get experience for non-damage deeds as usual.

_Quasar_: In this article, we will explain the major changes coming to the game balance that our producer, Michael Jivetc (Storm), has shared with us.

Change of the role of armour on gameplay New balance for SPGs:
As previously announced, the expansion of SPG branches up to Tier 10 will come together with some changes to the characteristics of these vehicles. The top tier vehicles will have similar parameters to those of SPGs between the Tier 7 and Tier 8. Respectively, intermediate vehicles’ parameters will be adjusted as well.
Speaking about SPG rebalance, there will be no general decrease of all SPG characteristics in the game. Real “combat” precision of SPGs will remain on almost the same level.
One single “nerf”, which we believe will make SPG gameplay more challenging, is the reduction of shell velocity for all SPGs by an average of 10-15%. At the same time some short “mortar” guns will have their shell velocity reduced by one and half times, which is quite logical.
That’s all we have for the changes of characteristics.
Now let’s talk about the changes applied to armour and shells:
In order to increase the importance of vehicles’ armour on gameplay, we have decided to take the following set of measures:The normalization of all armor-piercing shells was reduced down to 2 degrees (from the current 5). We decided not to set it to 0 in order to keep the possibility for large shells to penetrate thin armor when they hit it at an acute angle.
Already known from “Supertest” leaks: a “nerf” of the penetration rate of a large number of top HEAT and some armor-piercing shells. Here we do not need to explain too much – the characteristics will be reduced. A separate point here is the “nerf” of HEAT shells for medium tiers’ short-barreled 105-122 mm caliber howitzers. Players will not be able to exploit them anymore.
A change in the principle of HEAT shell mechanics. Now armour shields and tracks will sometimes give quite weighty protection against HEAT shells, especially at acute angles, when the point of detonation is moved further away from the hull.
A change of the parameters of spall liners. The armor absorption modifiers will increase to the following:
Small spall liner: 15% (current value)
Medium spall liner: 20%
Large spall liner: 25%
Extra-large spall liner: 30%. New type of spall liner for some super heavy tanks (weight over 80-90 tons). P.S. An important addition to the changes in mechanics!
Seems like I’ve missed some important moments:
First, in addition to changes in distribution when calculating accuracy, the distribution will change in the calculation of damage and armor penetration as well. Currently, the calculations use a normal distribution which is cut to 2 sigma. The change will be the replacement of the trim to 2 sigma to a trim to 3 sigma. This means that extremely high or extremely small values of damage and armor penetration will be reduced by about 5% and the average values specified in the parameters will become more likely.
Second, there will be a change to the reducing coefficients for the experience gain of Tank Destroyers and SPGs which apply only to the calculation of the experience for the damage caused, and not as a general coefficient which affects the entire gained experience. That is, in patch 0.8.6 arties and TD’s will get more experience for the damage they caused, by 50% and 33% respectively. The remaining accrual of experience will not change.

En effet, certains d'entre-vous l'ont peut-être remarqué, j'ai depuis quelque temps du prendre un peu de distance par rapport aux forums, et aux activités liés à la communauté française en général. La raison derrière tout ça est tout simplement qu'officiellement depuis le 15 Mai dernier, je ne suis plus directement en charge de la communauté française en tant que Community Manager chez Wargaming.
Mais je ne vous abandonne pas complètement pour autant, puisque je serai désormais responsable de l'équipe communautaire au sens large du terme. Vous me verrez donc moins souvent sur le forum, ou même lors des rencontres communautaires, mais je serais quand même là, dans l'ombre, à fouetter encourager et guider vos chers Tanatoy et Rhaya, ainsi que tous les autres Community Managers et Coordinators afin de continuer nos efforts à vous soutenir et vous proposer des activités diverses et variées.
En bref, je vais faire de mon mieux pour utiliser l'expérience acquise durant cette année passée auprès de vous pour toujours mieux répondre à vos demandes et vos attentes sur les mois et, qui sait, peut-être années, à venir !
En conséquence directe, le poste de Community Manager Français se libère donc, mais encore une fois soyez rassurés, nous sommes à l'affût et espérons bien trouver un remplaçant au plus vite.

We are pleased to announce the first ever Clan Wars Campaign – a time-limited version of Clan Wars with special rules starting on June 10th.
This is a big scale event with grand prizes. This is for those who take part and maintain dominance throughout the duration of the campaign.
How will it work?
This event will consist of several stages during which participants will need to achieve different goals. This will grant them Victory Points (VP) for their Clan. Those Clans which gain the most points during each stage and at the end of the campaign will be rewarded with great prizes.
What is the purpose of the campaigns?
We are glad to inform you that a new page is about to open in Clan Wars history. Now the Global Map conquests will consist of separate global Campaigns, which will have a logical ending and which provide a lot of possibilities in terms of Clan Wars. During the campaigns vehicles of all Tiers will be used. This is so any clan will have an opportunity to take part in this big event. Campaigns will consist of different stages and each with its own name, specified according to the rules and the victory conditions.
Clans will have chance to prove that they are worth owning territory on Global Map. For completing campaign goals clans will receive special Victory Points. Those who will have the biggest amount of VP's by the end of campaign will receive special achievements. Moreover, all clans who will show good performance on Global Map will receive special Tier X (10) Medium Tank. After the campaign ends, all remaining VP's will be converted into gold and transferred to treasury of participating clans.

What can be won?
Prizes include:
• A special M60 Tier X medium tank which cannot be obtained by any other means
• Unique medals
• In-game Gold
What are the schedule and rules for the First Campaign?
This is an overview of how the campaign will start and progress. More detailed information on each stage will be presented in further news articles.
1. The Campaign will begin on June 10th
2. Stages will involve clans having to complete different goals in order to receive Victory Points (VP)
3. The rules, goals and victory conditions for each stage will be announced gradually with each stage. A specific news article will provide everything you need to know for each stage. Watch the news for the complete information on the first stage – Landlords – including the details of objectives, Victory Points and more on May the 22nd.
How will the prizes be awarded?
• At the end of the Campaign, all Victory Points will be converted into in-game Gold. Which  then be credited to the Clan’s treasury
• Every player who takes part in at least one battle during the Campaign (including the preliminary stage) will receive a special campaign participant medal

• If your Clan wins one of the individual stages, every player who takes part in at least 5 battles for that Clan will receive a special medal.
• If your Clan is one of the Top three for the entire Campaign, every player who takes part in at least 10 battles for that clan will receive one of special medals:
1. Legendary

2.Indestructible

3. Veteran

• The 5 Clans with the most Victory Points by the end of each stage will be eligible for the M60 Tier X medium tank. Every player who takes part in at least 5 battles for one of these clans will receive the tank at the end of the Campaign.
• The 30 Clans with the most Victory Points at the end of the Campaign will be eligible for the M60 Tier X medium tank. Every player who takes part in at least 5 battles for one of these clans will receive the tank at the end of the Campaign.
• The following medal will be given to all players who took part in at least one battle from 21st May to the 9th of June

Note: Players can only ever receive the M60 once, even if their Clan achieves multiple victories. If you deliberately or accidentally sell the M60, no compensation will be provided if you later change your mind.
What will happen after the campaign?
Global map will be locked for a certain period of time. Afterwards the map will be wiped again and another “Redivision of the World” will take place.  After the “Redivsion” the game format and rules will be changed to the state from before the campaign.
