no issues with the OBT, then why are we still testing it? Players
have expressed many concerns in this and many other threads and
topics concerning influence, the auction system, and consumables,
etc. If our concerns are falling on deaf ears at least give us the
courtesy of telling us that. Don't act like none of our concerns
exist. That's incredibly condescending and dismissive. I know
that's probably not what you were intending, as it is not your
(personal) normal way of doing business. But, seriously, you know
what he meant.veganzombiez: I quoted MKA because I was asking him what issues he was
specifically referring to in the second part of his post:
MKA, on Aug 05 2015 - 14:58, said: well at least u know what we are going to have fixed? like the
action bids msg, or is the same thing again but in europe.veganzombiez: He asks what will be fixed, and then uses "action bids msg"
as an example. This, to me, meant that he was talking about a
specific bug or issue that he's encountered. Now that I
look at it, I probably could've been more clear on my request for
clarity.

community) have jack crapworth of input. We're jsut trying to
make the game BETTER. And between all the threads in this
subforum we've got some fantastic ideas. That are
ignored. Vegan you can say 'we're listening' but you have no
pull.veganzombiez: The NA community and WGNA presence with the devs isn't as
muted as the community tends to think. When a player says
"Look at this example of how the devs don't listen to us", WGNA's
NDA prevents us from saying "Look at this example of when they do".
If you're referring specifically to the beta, I've addressed
some of that below.

open beta of this clan wars? The most I can see would be how much
land would be allocated to each front... and that's about it. Is
there any expectation that we would be able to see results from
feedback from this open test?veganzombiez: Having a beta running before launch means that you've got N
days to get an idea of how things work. It also means that
you've got N days to get a feel for what you like or don't like,
and then provide your feedback on that, etc. It also gives
developers N days to collect data and make initial changes before
launch. No, a core feature (like Auctions) will not see
a huge change at launch because that would be changing a core
feature, which takes considerable time and re-design. But
what might change about a feature like Auctions from a beta is
that bid amounts may be adjusted, cooldowns may be implemented,
defense bid mechanics may be changed, etc. Beta feedback can
change way more about a map than just the number of
provinces: Province income, min bids for Auctions, division
cost, division daily maintenance cost, prime times, max # vehicles
on a team, UI changes, permission changes, Settings, background,
filters, log, consumable types, consumable costs, etc. All
the stats on this page and all the functionality of the map are reviewed if players have
suggestions about it. But most importantly, a beta gives
time. Having that beta adds in a buffer: with 1+ months
of beta, players from all regions are able to provide their
feedback and suggestions. So by the time GM2 launches, the
devs are already analyzing player suggestions and discussing
changes... instead of waiting for the respective communities to
provide that feedback when GM2 launches and players are on the map
for the first time. Getting some changes implemented will
take time (see: Clan Message Boards), but I think being able to say
"here's the feedback from 1+ month of OBT and here's the feedback
from 1 month of launch" is much better than saying "here's some
feedback from only 1 month of play".
