Where to go next? Newcomer's Questions =)

My crew is 100% in my T-26 as when I purchased it I paid the 300 gold that I received from changing my password to get a 100% crew so I could immediately start researching traits. Do you guys maybe think it is WAY too early for me to have even moved to the T-26 and should have stayed in the Tier 1 games? I am getting beaten up pretty badly in my T-26 and I was getting beaten up in my MS-1 too LOL, I guess I'm not that good of a player but practice makes perfect, right? ;-)    Well, as I stated in the previous paragraph, I don't really know how to use the XP I've gained to maybe transfer it to my T-26 tank (or do you transfer it to the crew or something? or is it used to simply research things on the new tank?). Any help would be greatly appreciated as well as any feedback about what you skilled veterans may do in my shoes from the MS-1 - should I just keep playing the MS-1 as I have upgraded it a pretty good bit and have the 45mm gun on it as well as the better turret, engine, tracks, radio, etc...?   Oh, by the way, one last thing... I'm not sure if we are allowed to discuss mods on here or not, so I wanted to ask if we were allowed to ask if anyone is running a particular mod like XVM for example and how they like it - or if there are other mods which are better?   Thanks for all your help!!
