This is one of the way game balances tiers and types of vehicles in the battle.
2. Experience
There is FAQ on what will and will not earn you experience in the game. Also you get 50-80 experience if you get killed in the first minute of the game without killing anyone and your team loses. Make sense - you get experience for playing and winning.
3. Battle Balancing
Next patch will introduce a new balancing system
4. Radios
Radios are there to transmit your and visible to you enemy locations. Visibility range that's your tank/turret specs. Also there are some communication buttons like in CS (press F1 in game) and in the next patch some of the will get visible markers.
5. Money
You are suppose to loose money at some tiers and especially if you are not winning. Well no one forces to use gold only for conversion.
6. Graphics
Read FAQ on preferences.xml - got instruction on graphic and other adjustments. Also this is beta so the game engine still being worked on.

That's actually the concept. Sub-clans are welcomed! Also clan leaders will be able to hire mercenaries from freelancing players.
