WE had similar discussion about smoke screen and same issues were found there also:Too much smoke or smoke screen or any other particle effects will put too much strain on low end PC systems.
For now i don`t think we will have any improvements in game considering tank destructions.

Smoke might appear in the game if devs manage to do optimize the engine even more.
Otherwise been discussed many times. No improvements on physics beyond pushing off dead tanks and more destructible objects.
