To answer the actual concerns, no skill based MM does not take into account composition (which is kind of why we call it "skill based" not "tier based" which is what you have in pubs). The whole assumption is that you're playing with 7/42 so tank choices are up to the individual teams, think of it as a soccer team choosing to have more forwards in their formation... this is the tactical choice you make with your tanks. Unfortunately, skill is not something we can buff for anyone.
Also, as the MM is based on a team based rating it will take significant time to function properly, because very few people have played enough team battles yet for ratings to be stable ...math is fun
