realize you keep hinting about next year, and that's great. I
really am excited about what next year will bring. However with
that said I don't think I'm being impatient for wanting a major
tournament or news thereof before 2013.Most of my other questions relate indirectly to the first. Such as whether there will or will not be a 7v7 ladder / league in the near future(2012)? Also can we expect any events or prizes out of the ordinary as we look to the future?
If I may lord_farquad what is your take on the 42 point system as is? Now that Encounter mode is available and has been tested does it seem viable for future competitive formats?
lord_farquad: I'll be honest, the 7/42 is not my absolute favorite (no pun
intended), however that is currently the global competitive
standard.
I do think that encounter is extremely viable for future competitive formats, and hope to use it more and more often. I think with a 10 minutes timer encounter tends to generate much more exciting matches.
As far as future events, unfortunately there may not be announcements about next year until toward the end of this one, that's simply how business works. I know it's annoying, but obviously we're trying to do larger events this year as well.
