Another issue that isn't really publicized is that there were 3 independent organizations trying to get everything done. Ural Gavonzavod (Sponsor), Russian esports federation, and WG. None of them talked to each other and each rep gave us completely different answers and none of them knew what the other was doing until a crisis occurs. The entire thing was last minute crisis management - not the best way to do things.
WG did the best they could under the circumstances but were again fighting a battle involving lack of experience (lack of management 101) and a vast communications disconnect between the organizers.
