Tournament Changes in July

dance210: Unknown. Right now, these are only planned for July. Like all our tournaments, I'll keep an eye on how they go and player feedback before deciding anything for August.

I really hate the single-day tournaments, but enjoy working my way through various obstacles (i.e. multi-day events, team variety, tank or map variety, etc.). So if you're removing them, I guess I just won't be playing tournaments any more.   Question: Are you trying to drive away people, or just force them into feed troughs?   x.

dance210: There is still a multi-day tournament at the end of the month, the Summer Play tournament. The idea behind the Summer Play tournament is to try having one single, large tournament that we could focus a lot of attention on. Will it work...I can't answer that until July.   And I agree, those were (are) some of my favorite tournaments, especially the Skirmish which I participated in before joining WG.

Most of us can't regularly do more than 1 day at a time. After running in hundreds of tournaments, losing this gold income after losing gold on on-tracks may finally drive me away from this game. I am going to try the new tournaments, and give them an honest shot. But if they impose on real life to much it may be curtains for us. Are there any links to the setups and lengths of the new tournaments?

dance210: The Platournaments, Call to Arms and 1v1 Throwdown are all one-day tournaments. The main difference between the Platournament and Stand-To (other than the name) is that the former is only offered twice a week while the latter ran every day.
