This August, we're taking the Skirmishes back to school and showing their evolution over time, starting with the very first Skirmish format and ending with the next generation of Skirmish warfare.   This week, we illustrate a drastic change in how the Skirmishes were designed. Gone are the 64 team playoff bracket. Instead, teams play three days of unseeded group stage followed by a 16 team simple elimination playoff bracket! Teams are guaranteed to play four days - no team is eliminated until the first day of the playoffs! Don't have time to commit to an entire week of tournament play? No problem!
