Could someone explain the new payout system please?

dance210:   If you make top 25% from the group stage, you get 1,000 gold. You also get placed into a playoff bracket (max of 16 teams) where first place gets 9,000 gold. The number of 16-team brackets depends on the number of teams in the top 25%. So, a first place team in each bracket could make 10,000 gold (1,000 + 9,000)   If you make top 26-50% from the group stage, you get 500 gold. You will then be placed in a playoff bracket with less gold on the line - 1st place only gets 4,500 gold. The first place team in this group could make 5,000 gold (500 + 4,500).   Does this make sense?
