dance210:   The percent rankings (Top 25%, etc) are based off how well a team does in the Group Stage (Mon-Wed battles). Those rankings are updated on the forums (see here for an example - scroll down to see each new day). From the Group Stage, the top 50% make it to the Alpha playoffs. Teams in the Top 25% from the group stage are seeded into the top Alpha playoff bracket(s) and compete for gold. Teams ranked 26 - 50% are seeded into another set of playoff bracket(s) and play for lower gold prizes. The lower 50% of teams are in the Bravo playoffs, and compete for even less gold.   Once you hit Friday, you are no longer talking about group stages/percent ranks. You have reached the playoffs. How much gold a team earns depends on when they lose. This is determined directly from the tournament page. For example, if a team loses on Friday, then they will placed 9th - 16th and, if applicable, earn the gold for that place. If a team loses on Sunday during the Semifinals, they will be 3rd-4th and earn that gold prize.
