Best Tank Model Company

The_Chieftain: Trumpeter can be hit or miss. Their Type 98 MBT was one of the worst tank kits I have built in many years. The Osorio was the worst. Their later stuff is top notch.    A word of warning. It has become de rigeour recently in kits to have tracks made up, not only of independent links, but also end connectors and center guides. A single track consisting of over 300 pieces. Great for diorama positioning and model contests, but otherwise completely infuriating. If you are just looking for a casual build, consider avoiding such kits (or seek simpler aftermarket tracks).
