The_Chieftain: In fairness, now I look closely enough at the video, I think the top half would have stayed had I left it ‘locked’ into that first rib, instead of trying to get it that extra inch up in order to latch it into the designated socket. However, since I wasn’t actually at risk of fire, I was similarly not going to risk the thing falling onto me. Note how I check to make sure the hatch is solidly in place before I even get into the tank. I could definitely have gotten out faster if I had to.
