not. I don't think this is the first time that
"precision bombing" has been reported to be, well, NOT
precise. And the power of air power has been
exaggerated since WW2. Although I think I was kind of
surprised when I first read similar kinds of statements or
opinions about the ability of air power back then.
We've had decades to learn that just using air power does not
work.
Quote To paint with a broad brush, the people who own weapons like the first one are generally pleasant people, with adequate respect for their guns and an understanding of firearm safety; while the people who prefer weapons like the second one tend to be the cross of an Ork and a 12-year-old Call of Duty player who hasn't seen a gun in his life.
The_Chieftain: Kosovo is an interesting example. Air power did work. The
Serbs withdrew, after much bombing, but on the other hand, they
took a lot more of their supposedly destroyed equipment with them
than NATO thought they had left.

The_Chieftain: Uhuh... I own six rifles. Five of them are like 'the
second one'. Most firearms owners I know have the latter. This is
not surprising given it's the most popular type of rifle sold
in the country. Your brush is very, very broad.
