Tank driver height restrictions?

The_Chieftain:   Well.... Kindof.   As near as I can tell, Armor and Aviation are the only two branches where the officers are routinely expected to be pulling triggers as a matter of course. Even infantry officers are supposed to be dispatching their squads around, but an armor platoon leader is a part of the squad, as it were. He can't send anyone anywhere, he's along for the ride. Unfortunately, yes, an officer does spend less time on the steel though, because they only have platoon leader, XO, CO time, before being kicked up to Staff. Then, if they're lucky (I haven't been) they may get their own tank as the S-3 or battalion CO, but at that point, it's as much a manner of safe transportation as actually being part of the fight. At least they still get to shoot on the range, I guess.
