Was watching The Chieftain's Videos

The_Chieftain: Unfortunately, to a large extent, preserving vehicles doesn't seem to have been something which the US considered worthy of spending money on. I've come across evidence of a number of vehicles which had been sent 'for the historical record' which ended up being destroyed. The collection at Aberdeen was a disgrace, sitting outside, unprotected on the Atlantic coast for decades.   The lads at Benning are making progress, but they will never get most of the vehicles back beyond cosmetic restoration. TankFest USA will only happen if private collectors get involved.
