Beware the Ides of T110.

The_Chieftain: For whiskey, my standard is Bushmill's ten year single malt. I really am not a fan of Jameson. I swung by the distillery a couple months ago, and of the flight from tasting, only liked the cheapest of the reserves.   By tradition, whenever I go home, I swing by duty free and pick up a bottle of Middleton's extra rare. They're owned by Jameson, which is why I go back to the distillery: I sign the owners' book. Ordinarily, and this works for wines as well, my palate is not sophisticated enough to tell the difference between a $40 bottle and a $140 bottle, but this stuff is good enough that I do. I have 2008, 2010 and 2014 sitting on my bar right now, awaiting suitable events to occasion drinking.
