were, am not even bringing TAHOA. First stop, Kent, where I don't
think I've been in twenty years.

USN fighters is to bait them with one squadron, wait until they're
tied up in a furball, then strafe the whole lot of them with your
fighter squadrons. I'll even do it to an ally if his squadron
is going to die anyway. Right now on Ryujo, my fighters
can do 3 strafes before needing to rearm. Lower tier fighters
can do even more because of their higher loadout. The higher
tier fighters with small loadouts will require a lot more care I
presume.The_Chieftain: Maybe it's more that I'm at Tier IX, but the IJN carriers I
keep meeting don't have that problem. Despite the fact that they
have fewer 'planes per squadron, they have more squadrons. Two
inferior squadrons can beat up on my one better one without
resorting to strafing. I need to do the strafing to get their
numbers down to a more reasonable level for the ensuing dogfight.
Of course, while they're doing this, the five other squadrons they
have can make it to their target unimpeded. They have more
squadrons than I can stop even if I go air superiority.
