bombers The_Chieftain: Problem is that I am finding 1, 3, 5, and 7 to be
particularly difficult. Especially against Japanese carriers. When
I happen to guess correctly and intercept the inbound swarm with my
fighter swarm, one of two things happens. 1) My fighters are
engaged with his fighters, and I win. While this is happening, his
bombers get past, and they're often as fast as my fighters so by
the time I've dealt with it, I can't do anything about the strike.
Intercepting on the return run sometimes happens, sometimes
not. 2) My fighters engage with his fighters, and I lose. At
which point, the bombers get past anyway. If I attempt to
ignore the fighters, and go for the bombers anyway, one of two
things happen. The bombers delay long enough for his fighters to
engage mine, and they slip by, or better yet, if they're a Japanese
carrier, the fighters engage mine and the spare fighter either gets
by also, or piles in on one, so by the time I've dealt with them
all, I have no ammo left to engage the bombers even if I intercept
them on the way back.
