Why many don't push the valley anymore? (Lakeville)

Quote requires taking away the combat power from the parts of the map
that actually determine the outcome
The_Chieftain: With respect, if a significant portion of our force has
crushed the enemy in front of it and is sitting on the
objective for the win, did other parts of the map actually
determine the outcome? Or were they simply a part of the overall
play of the map? The team won. The main effort was the
valley push, the supporting efforts were the town and central
ridge. Whether 'town at all costs' people accept it or not, the
valley is always a determining outcome to some extent or another.
Don't believe me? Don't leave anyone there at all and send everyone
to the town. See what happens. There is pretty much always going to
be a main effort and a supporting effort in every game. The
location of that main effort is nowhere near as important as the
emphasis put behind it.
