Why many don't push the valley anymore? (Lakeville)

The_Chieftain: Oddly, I led a valley push today. It worked.
There are basically three requirements for a successful valley
push. 1). Must contain a significant portion of your combat
power. If you don't get buy-in from one or two of your top tanks,
(I was top tank in my M103 and two IS3s came with me) you will
fail. You have to bring enough to overwhelm the defenses.
2). Must have aggressive execution. This should be a no-brainer,
aggressive execution of significant combat power is a winner on
basically every location of every map. The most dangerous thing in
the game is a Wolfpack of aggressively played tanks. Get out of the
killing zone (I.e. Don't stop at the crest, for the love of all
that's holy), get under the guns. Deal with the close defenders,
and keep moving before the enemy repositions. I would wager that
most valley pushes which fail do so due to timidity. 3)
Frankly, a bit of luck. You never know just how much force the
enemy brought to hold the valley until you cross over. However, as
common wisdom says "don't push valley", it is pretty unusual for
the opposition to put more than two or three vehicles on the valley
themselves. I'll try to dig up the replay file.
