Springtime for T110 and the Americas

K2 is 465 mm (18.3 in), and M16 is 508 mm (20 in). But when you think of what AK-47 had (also 390 mm), it's not that short, and compact enough for a starter assault rifle.   KnWn7jj.png   The average conscripted male of 1944 is both 172 cm for Korea* and US in this universe, so there is no real size difference by this time (although the Americans are more muscular and heavier).

The_Chieftain:   No, I'm still not convinced. By the size of that magazine, that's a battle rifle firing 'full-sized' (for the time) rounds.. M16 and AK-47s are assault rifles, firing lower-powered rounds. The barrel is very thin compared to the M16, and I think it's far too short for a battle rifle's barrel. You want a couple more inches. Even the super-short paratrooper's FAL the Belgians used had a 436mm barrel, when the paratroopers complained that the carbine-length 458mm was too long for jumping out of airplanes with.
