murder at all, if the cop entered wrong dwelling for example. Every
police in the world (except maybe the German one) is infested with
powertripping wankers, I see no reason why cops should recieve more
immunity than they already have. With that being said, between a
cop and a gangbanger, I'd root for the cop, but only barely.The_Chieftain: In the US, shooting a cop who had no legal right to be on
your property is an acceptable defense. Even if the cop did not
make a mistake to begin with. For example, in Florida a man shot a
cop he thought was prowling in his back yard. Turned out the cop
was in his back yard because he was looking for a suspect he
thought was in the yard. Florida permits lethal force in defense of
property, homeowner acquitted. Similarly, if the cops screw
up and serve a warrant on the wrong address or some such, it is no
crime to defend your home with lethal force. The practical problem
with that legal protection, however, is surviving the next couple
of minutes afterwards before the cops figure out they've made a
mistake.
