specific disease. It can simply mean an evil malignant force
that is difficult to contain. Unfortunately the disease is
such an issue that it's what springs to mind first when using the
word I still say we should switch to canker
though The_Chieftain: Fair point. Though I still don't see a need to use the
metaphor. I think it immediately undermines my willingness to take
the user seriously.

mechanic? I'm a 30+ year survivor of cancer. the
term/phrase doesn't bother me one bit. if the arty mechanic
is NOT broken, then why can't every other howitzer class get that
view/mode? I've heard the answer that other howitzers have
other advantages that would make it 'broken' - yeah, there are arty
out there with better camo, mobility and seemingly gun handling
than my su-152... why can't I lob shells 800m beyond draw range
over hills from god's eye mode like they can? it's a broken
game mechanic made even more broken by deforested, overly
repetitive, unimaginative crap maps. The_Chieftain: I presume you're referring to the howitzers in vehicles like
the KV-2? Perhaps because the class in the game is designed to not
be able to do it, and instead have, compared to arties, fast aiming
time, fast reload, in a vehicle with a modicum of armor and more
than a handful of hitpoints? Now, you can make an argument
for the creation of a new class of gun/howitzer vehicles, with
overall stats balanced to reflect its abilities to conduct
effective fires in either direct or indirect mode, but until that
happens, I think your argument's a bit of a red herring.
