land to lose either. The Arab nations have not exactly been
friends of the Palestinians either (except for political expediency
as a tool to beat on Israel). They weren't happy at the thought
that they were going to lose land to the Palestinians as part of
the partition plan and in their drive to get rid of Israel, they
had nothing to lose. In effect, that argument blames the
Palestinians for the actions of the Arab nations which seems a
little unfair on the Palestinians.
