range that it appears the M4 and Tiger are fighting, the 76 would
likely go through pretty much anywhere that was flat. I worry that
it's going to spawn more Wehraboos than anything in recent
memory. The_Chieftain: I know, and I told the director that before they started
filming. I suggested that in order to make the scene work, they may
be better off facing a Jagdpanther or Panther, or change Fury to a
75mm gun tank (Which would also solve the white phosphorous
problem). In the end, they decided they wanted the cachet of the
Tiger for commercial appeal (and Bovvy had it, not a working
Panther), and Bovvy's available Sherman was a 76mm, so I'm afraid
it's 'suspension of disbelief' (Don't spread those details around
too much, please)

communicate with them, English, or was there a translator?
The_Chieftain: Pidgin english, mainly. But enough of the RU staff
speak English. The lass in the blue raincoat is my producer for the
Inside the Hatch videos made in Russia, she speaks quite good
English. I had a couple of Russians ID me over the weekend. Not the
hat, though, it doesn't get much air time in Russia. As to
the myths thread, I checked in with the mods. It was becoming a
time/resource hog, with people reporting other people left, right
and center, often for spurious reasons (like "I don't agree with
this post, so I'll report it") or people being butt-hurt over the
slightest perceived insult. As a result, they decided to close it.
The daft thing is that they're resigned to the fact that there'll
be a Part 2.
