T110's Second Summer of Love (And Tolerance)

The_Chieftain: I can relate to KJC's point about Bolo's job encountering
particularly... um.. unique people on a daily basis. (Incidentally,
I lasted about a year and half on the front lines, then about two
at second level). I admit, I did give IBM a bit of a
problem. I rarely followed script, and also had some of the
longest average call times. Which, of course, they'd proceed to
ding me on in those randomly recorded calls on which I got
assessed. But I also had the highest CSAT rate on the floor, and
some of my calls were subsequently used in training classes for new
hires as good case examples on how do deal with angry customers. (I
don't think the evaluator picked up on my sarcasm) So, does IBM
punish or fire me for failing to follow their abitrary procedures,
or do they allow me to continue generating the good word of mouth
and reputation that I was providing? They chose to leave me alone
and continue doing what I was doing in my own, inimitable style.
