Secret to snap shooting?

So for example. I'll be sitting behind a bush, and a target will get spotted. I'll aim and wait for the aim circle to shrink fully and then take a shot, and the it'll either bounce off the enemies track or hit the dirt somewhere far way (usually the latter), and the enemy will see this and start backing up and immediately turn their turret to me and shoot immediately while backing away. Obviously if you've just turned your turret and backing away you're not fully aimed, but... they always hit me. Maybe not 100% but it's a lot.

So the questions that arise are how do people get their gun on you that fast? Do they just point their gun at you in arcade mode and send a hail mary that almost always hits, or do they use auto aim? If they use auto aim how do they get it on you that fast? It's barely usable in my experience. Is there some mod that allows you to just point in the general direction and lock on?   P.S.: If you're not a professional snap shotter don't even bother to respond.
