Here's my two cents for MM

TeriyakiTanker: This wouldn't work because people with a large amount of battles would be waiting for a long time to get games.  Basically your idea would kill the game.  WG already tried something like this where for the first 1500 games, or something like that, you would be in a protected player pool.  It didn't work because they couldn't fill games and it just reverted to normal MM.   And to be honest at almost 10k games you shouldn't need protection anymore.  You need to spend less time trying to figure out ways to get handed wins and learn how to do more than 1 or 2 shots of damage per game.  This game is designed to be hard, maybe even too hard for beginning players, but you are not a beginning player and you should be able to at least hold your own in middle tier games, IV-VII, with almost 10k games.
