*** Public Service Announcement.... Training on how Winrates are determined.

first overall unicorndom in a higher tier non-light tank. However,
in the usual fair, Elitists like to degrade people. The
problem is, is they are not doing it factually, they are using a
little truth to lie. I will now explain.... The individual
stated: Because of their hate, elitists have no
comprehension and understanding to think BEYOND the most simple of
facts (such as not having a high winrate means you just
farm damage, so you don't try to help your team win), and because
of that, they falsely judge people, showing their true character.
Now, it is absolutely true that the above fact CAN be a factor
of why someone has a lower Winrate than their WN8, but it's
certainly not in my case, and it's likely not in most cases.
Why? Because it actually takes some skill to live long enough
to even be able to "farm" damage. So people will have already
be up there in skill be even be able to do that
successfully/consistently. However, there are many MORE
facts than that one they don't consider that makes their judgment
false as to why/how people can have lower Winrates compared to
their WN8. They don't consider: 1. That
very few people in the game have Winrates that match their WN8,
most have lower winrates. 2. That it's mostly only
Unicorns who's Winrates that match their WN8, anyone that observes
peoples signatures would notice this. 3. That Winrates are
greatly affected by "Platooning", in other words you'll get a
higher winrate if you platoon. 4. That Winrates are
affected greatly by if you prematurely cap, i.e. you focus on
winning rather than fighting, when Randoms are about doing your
personal best not simply winning, not that you shouldn't also try
to win, but you don't get squat sitting on a base (screwing
yourself and the rest of your team and enemy out of XP), especially
when the battle isn't yet determined, to prematurely cap is
selfish and lazy giving you a false sense of accomplishment.
5. The TYPE of tank you play.... If you play more
armored tanks you'll have a higher winrate due to being
able to be closer to the battle and thus affecting change as well
as not dying as easily as a low armored tank would close up,
in contast a low-armored tank has to play 2nd or 3rd line
because they are more easier to kill (something btw even Wargaming
says to do in their training videos). 6. The fact that tanks
can vary greatly in Winrates due to Randomness most likely, that
you can be good in a tank but have a low winrate as well
as be bad in a tank and have a high winrate. 7. The fact
that my overall winrate is 52%, and in the Progetto is
55%, which means while it's not quite "as" large as the WN8
increase (only slightly less btw), it's certainly greater thus
clearly I AM helping my teams win, not just "farming". There
may be more I'm forgetting atm, but you get the point. Now
let's compare these factors to me: 1. I don't platoon
at all. 2. I don't prematurely cap EVER (unless I can get
there without dying on the way or while capping and it's a must to
win the game). 3. I don't play Armored tanks AT ALL almost,
especially today, everything is crap in responsiveness so I hate it
and can't perform in them anymore. (It's like riding a
bicycle with 2 bent rims and flat tires.) 4. I have improved
both my WN8 and Winrate in the tank, and they've improved equally
according to what and how I play. There is another factor to
consider that shows the "character" of these people.
Unicorns are the Top 0.10% of the WOT population, it's why they are
Unicorns. In my Overall, I'm in the Top 5% of the game. Now,
it takes a special kind of "amoral" person to judge others this
way, to be so elitist that you rage on players even in the Top 5%
of something, anything frankly. Top 5% of anything is normally
respected, but these people are so low in class they can't help
themselves. Bottom line: People, especially these sorts of
Elitists need to understand that there are MANY factors that go
into making a Winrate, it is NOT "simply" that they "farm damage".
And clearly in my case, the other factors, facts which also can
affect Winrate clearly apply to me. Thus, it cannot be conclusively
stated that I "farm damage" which is "why" my Winrate is lower than
my WN8. TeriyakiTanker: Look everyone knows you camp hard in your light tanks and
basically chai snipe to have a better WN8. So what? Own
and move on with your life. If that's how you want to play
than play that way. Just don't come on the forums expecting a
lot of respect from people.
