Spotting, getting spotted through buildings with no windows and solid rock.

And if you really want to go off on fairy tale tangents like that, why couldn't the tank hiding around the corner also have his engine off? And if that were the case, wouldn't the tank sitting there with his engines off be more likely to "hear" the one approaching?   Give me a freaking break. You white knight fanbois will seriously stick together and support the DUMBEST sht sometimes.   Hear it? Really? So what, the tank you are in at the time is in some kind of stealth mode with a super high-tech ninja muffler so that he can hear a tank idling 50 meters away over the sound of his own tank? You are literally SITTING ON YOUR OWN ENGINE and you actually think you are gonna hear another tank IDLING while it's PARKED? And what really blows my mind is HOW MANY IDIOTS agree with you. Go take a truck to the gas station. Leave it running. Now tell me you can hear another truck running on the OTHER SIDE of the gas station over the sound of your own truck.   This argument might be the single dumbest thing I've ever read on the internet.   Soon you will be saying it's because you can see the exhaust fumes.   GTFO of here with that nonsense.

TeriyakiTanker:   You obviously have never been in a real tank...… yes if the loader or the TC are not buttoned up there is a good chance they will hear a tank that is close to them.
