Account Transfer to SEA Server - (Transfer Window Closed)

Tanitha: Fair comment.

Its been bad for those who find themselves on a server that they don't want to be on, its bad for the freinds or clan mates who have missed out, and its bad for Wargaming as they are missing revenue and managing to turn what was a great PR move into a small PR disaster.
While the issue is not big, the news of it does get spread around. With lots of new games coming online it means that people are making choices about where they will spend their time and their money.
It also effects the future, as people who are stranded, or groups that are fragmented mean that the likelyhood of introducing new people is reduced. Also the longer people get out of the habit of playing and paying the more likely it is that they will take their money elsewhere. I know I have resubbed to EVE while I wait.
I would like to ask some questions:
1. Given that it appeared to be a relatively straightforward process to open up the transfer process originally, why is it difficult to do so again?
2. If there are technical, resource, or other reasonable reasons (such as the upcoming 0.8 release) that mean that resources are not currently available, can these please be communicated. People are likely to be more understanding if there are reasons given rather than just keeping people in the dark.
3. Why is it that in communications, we the customers are blamed for not taking advantage of the original transfer process even though it was poorly communicated and had an unreasonable cut off time. While I understand that there are people working hard to help, the official communications through Trouble Tickets are not reflecting this.
4. The Australian and New Zealand customer base is not much larger than a single state in the USA, but we are passionate about our gaming and are likely to be paying customers. Having more people onside from this group will only
enhance the reputation of Wargaming. Putting a large number offside for reasons that seem to be only political does exactly the opposite.
I welcome your response.
Cheers, Ulric.

Tanitha: 1. I'm not aware of how simple the transfer structure is, It’s a new system which I'm not involved in. I would guess it’s fairly simple though and the previous offered transfer seemed to go fairly smooth, except the unexpected closing date.
Anyway.. Why are account transfers not simple? I don't think it’s appropriate to open another transfer similar to the other one where the players have no information to base the decision on.
I'm pushing for an information flow and then I'll push for account transfers some information which is required before transfers (IMO) is where can Aus/NZ play clan wars, which will be the default server for players with an AUS/NZ IP. Etc.
I'm not saying there will be another transfer open; I'm just saying I'm pushing for clan-wars information first.
2. Im sure decicions effecting several countries will be dependant on many things.
3/4. I dont think that has happened from staff, Ive only seen players blame other players for not transfering. I believe the staff have stated that the transfer closed unexpectantly and mroe information should have been provided so players coud make a educated decision.

Sad to say after over a year of playing with over $300 spent that for all the reasons in this thread I've just spent $120 to look into an alternate 'f2p' game and have had a good week mostly playing it instead.

Tanitha: Thanks, I'm glad you understand we understand.

That is what I believe WG should have come out with in the first place that would have given the Oceanic community a better understanding.

Tanitha: I agree.

Valter answered the transfer move someone asked about with this today, so for all those players hoping our concerns and voices would make a difference, it seems we are not significant enough.

Tanitha: Vallter only stated what every player knows, that account transfers are not available today and there currently is no information available on transfers reopening.
That just means what was written, don’t read too much else into it please.

As always all anyone wants in certainty and WG is not able to clearly articulate either the process for making a decision or the timeframe for making one........
This is equally true on SEA about Clan Wars, even though small steps are being made towards this by asking us in a token gesture which CW region we would like to play in.

Tanitha: With the first comment please understand how large the company has become, and how such large companies are structured.
Last I heard there was 1800 staff scattered around the world in 10+ offices, specializing if different tasks. The hands aren’t really meant to know what the other 1800 pairs of hands are doing, What the mass of hands do is known and decided by the brain. Was that a bad Analogy? : )
I understand you want certainty, but that can only come after decisions are finalized and ready to be released.
Speculative information doesn’t help with certainty and often has the opposite effect.

Seems to me this dillema is being handled at the very top. Minsk have been caught out with this half arsed transfer situation. They still seem to be trying to sort out "who's" responsibility NZ/AUS region falls into. Until the game developers and owners make this decision we'll hear nothing. Only because there is nothing to be said yet.
Maybe, the Australian firm they purchased a short time ago will be appointed to one of the server groups, and will handle all Oceanic situations.

Tanitha: Sounds like reasonable speculation.

Also I have a vote poll going on SEA forums atm asking for another transfer before CW starts there, so far over 200 votes in 7 days since it went up with over 95% of ppl voting for another transfer round - head on over to SEA forum > Suggestions section if you want to add your vote to it.

Tanitha: 200 votes on a poll isn’t great numbers, players interested in transferring should definitely make their presence known.

This is the 1st step is to get WG to announce this then hopefully give the players assistance to have their accounts transferred to this server.

Tanitha: I agree that information should be the first step.
