They need a Director who can guide them now, someone who will sit down at the Table with all these young Devs & say, "This is what we will do next & this is the direction we're going in" At the moment, it seems the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing & when we question that we either get no response at all or the response we get is a waste of bandwidth & when someone is driven to post an angry response, they are sanctioned & whipped into submission. (way to treat the paying client) Its got to the stage where the only person I believe any-more is the Chief.

Tanitha: Some fair comments. When I joined the team WG had one main office in Minsk and about 150 staff, with one on-line game in beta, with obviously no on-line paying customers.
From there its gone to ~1800 staff (last i heard) and offices in Minsk, NA, Paris, Korea, China, Vietnam, Germany, Singapore, London, Dev offices in Kiev and St Petersburg, now assets in Australia (Big World), and even the battleship Iowa floating around.
+ From a beta, to a release, 35 million players, with two more major titles around the corner.
Keeping up with expansion has certainly been challenging.

The amount of work that goes into WoT and the single player games they made meant they definitely had more than "just a couple of programmers" and most certainly had several levels of "directors". Unless you're well aware of how the Game Development industry works I reckon you shouldn't make assumptions such as what you just did.

Tanitha: WG has had an organized and developed programming/production team for a long time.
Its the 35 million online players which is a new situation, which we have fought to keep up with.
A whole NA office was put online to handle the NA playerbase for starters, which has also expanded from a few staff, to now ~60 staff, to a need to relocate to bigger offices.

Tanitha: Right, I agree.
There is many reasons why AUS/NZ players would want to stay on the NA server, the similar culture and language, the higher population, old friends and clans which have been developed since online gaming was introduced 15 years ago. Etc.
And only one reason why AUS/NZ players would prefer an SEA server (A Lower Ping).
But the thing that trumps all of the above reasons, is simply, where and when can you play clanwars?
I wont/cant push for transfers to reopen to the SEA server, or push for transfers back to NA to open.
Until I can find out when and where you can play clanwars.
Being the only AUS/NZ employee within WG (Up until we just bought Big World), Ive continued to push for clan-wars support for the AUS/NZ timezone on a regular basis, and I'm often consulted in such matters directly by HQ.
I submitted another large report just this Friday for an example.
The reply was.

Quote Tanitha, thank you for sharing your thoughts. Final decision regarding AU/NZ is not taken, there are more factors to consider. We will come back to you with comments shortly.
Regards

Tanitha: I have been quiet in this thread lately. As there is only so many times I like to say, "I don't have any information on that topic unfortunately"
But at least now I can inform you that, Yes, I am aware of the issues. I regularly make HQ aware of the issues.
HQ are currently looking into the issue, and hopefully a favorable outcome is reached soon.
As always, I'll keep you informed on the topic, when I have any information.
Regards
Tan.
