considers NA to be the oceanic server atm. If they actually pointed
to SEA by default for new players from this region AND reopened
transfers to allow the rest of the population to move across the
problem would be solved AND it would add more players to SEA again
making Clan Wars for SEA more viable in the nearer future. Since
there is so much common sense involved in that though I fear
wargaming will continue to just screw us over as normal..... /sighTanitha: Id say that depends on opinion.
My "non wargaming" opinion, based on a huge gaming presence since the Internet was released, (1997 Ultima Online)
And being from and currently based in Oceania (Australia).
I am more than happy to play on NA servers, Its been done for the last 15 years, and I see no need to change that personally.
Especially with WOT not being a twitch based FPS.
Personally I'd prefer to continue to play with my large NA friends base, and continue to play on a server that is primarily English and a similar culture to what AUS is.
I do appreciate that some AUS/Oceania gamers would move to anywhere that presented a better ping. But I definitely am not one of that group.
To me there is many other factors apart from the ping. For example I'd personally prefer to play on a NA server with 300 ping, than on a SE/Asian server with 150 ping.
Id also "guess" that the majority of AUS/NZ players would also prefer to play on a NA server.
