Rage quit after 7.0 patch...

Tanitha: Previous system.
Player quits, tank blows up. Enemy team is stripped of a kill & exp. Friendly team loses a tank.
New system.
Player quits, tank stays in game, Enemy team can get their kill and exp. Friendly team still has a afk tank on the battlefield.
A AFK tank isn't much use to your team, But at least it still continues to spot for your team, and the enemy still needs to waste a few shots and reload times to kill it, and while they are shooting the AFK tank they aren't shooting you.
1/2 of the rage quitting was due to (tank runs into 3-4 enemy tanks with no backup, they are guaranteed to die), so they quit to strip the kill from the enemy. Now this is pointless.
So the new rule does fix a lot of the current issue.
