dont know if this is just my installation. But, during battles i
used to be able to hear the guy say whenever my tanks track had
been blown off. Which was handy, however, it has since stopped all
together. I mean it doesn't even announce the start of the fight
anymore which i though it does anyway. It is leaving me vulnerable
to die during a fight as i carry repair packs but i dont know when
to use them. For example, a tank shoots me and destroys my guns
ability to turn. I no longer know this and carry on only to
discover this at the worst time and by then its all over. PLEASE
HELP ME AS THIS IS REALLY RUINING MY SERVICE RECORD WIN
RATIO AND MOST OF ALL MY ENJOYMENT OF THE GAME. PS: I AM
A PAYING CUSTOMER WHO HAS ALSO REFERRED OTHER PLAYERS TO THIS GAME

problem. I will not even address the "paying customer" remark
because that is irrelevant as I see it. However, this issue
is a serious one, and the remarks relating to how it adversely
affects or can affect gameplay are correct. Upon installation
of WOT, I enjoyed the narration and it continued without issue for
about a month. Suddenly, there was no announcer. I
heard nil about damage, injury to crew, repairs, penetrations, etc.
Sure I can still see the damage and play the game, but for
me, I do miss this narrated information and have no idea whatsoever
why it just ceased working. I have not installed any mods
when this stopped working. I had not modified or done
anything to the game folder, its config, etc. It simply
worked and then suddenly stopped working. This may or may not have
begun after a WOT update; I am just not sure. If this feature
that came with the install of the game requires that I reinstall
some file post-update, no problem. Could somebody please
advise what file it is I must reinstall, where I would find the
file, its name, folder into which to install it, etc? I
suspect other players surely must have encountered this problem at
some point and likely fixed it? If so, please help me--and
other players who may experience this problem. I would be
enormously grateful for any help, ideas, suggestions, etc, please?
Thank You Very Much in advance.Saffr0n: There have been a couple WWise updates with the last few
patches. The game introduced new sound settings for
headphones/laptop speakers and multi-channel setups. If your mods
aren't at fault, it's likely that you selected sound settings
that don't apply to the device that they're using. Try
starting the game in Safe mode before moving onto changing your
device settings. If you're using headphones or
laptop speakers, use autoselection or 2.0/2.1 unless your
headset supports multi-channel (you should know if your headset
supports it). You're not going to get improved sound by using
multi-channel if your sound peripheral doesn't support it or you
don't have enough speakers for a 5.1 or 7.1 setup.
Hope this helps.
