SpectreHD, on 21 January 2011 - 04:06 PM, said: I hear the name "Patton" being thrown around and I thought of the
M60(which is the US' first official MBT) but then I saw its
timeline. Was hopeful for a bit. But how can the M103 be any
different from the T30? It suffers from the same weak hull and even
if there are slopes on the turret, it doesn't look like it will do
much.MrVic: Yeah the nickname "patton" got stuck to the M47 and then the M48.
The M60 was sorta of the end result of the M47/M48 tanks and
officially was designated "Patton" What can I say our US
designation system sucked back then, and then we started messing up
the nicknames! haha. But yeah Patton sorta refers to 3 tanks in the
end.
Also the M103 might server better as a Tier 9. I had some more ideas to toss out but been to busy to post them. Might try and finish it up tonight and get them posted.
A Re-revison of the tree, given the results of more research
