MrVic: Touching on the point of historical accuracy ect, As Gnaw touched
on, I am a rather extreme historical nut case, (Yes I actually pay
money for dusty copes of reports from archives) I have a thrilling
68 page report on Green paint used on early US tanks.... Not the
best thing I have spent money on, and let me tell you its not fun
to read lol.
My big difference is keeping in mind unless your insanely committed to research and counter research, you end up with a really limited view of popular "ideas" of how things were.
A good example is the discussion of German Hardened Armor. Keep in mind I am not trolling and I do not want this to effect the game in anyway. This sort of information only shows the average across the board of armor and armor quality in WW2 really were so erratic that in the end their in essence the same.(This is in reference to Plating not welds bolts and such properties if you want I can write up a good 4000 word break down on the boring side of welding and construction) Mainly due to quality control and errors in manufacturing designs aka normal stuff that happened. In the end every nation had Excellent armor alloys and at the same time on the same tank made right after it on the same assembly line had Poor armor alloys. Its just the nature of the time standards and technology.
The following Images are just part the main part of a few reports (I have TONS more if you really want to be bored) Also I have them from most major nations testing labs also
(Yes I am a WW2 Dork) I have reports
from about all angles. US vs Ger Ger vs US RU vs US US vs RU
This is what can happen with Historical over abuse
