The difference as i see it is in the guns and not in the armour. Even dropping the turret frontal from 360mm to 300mm will not allow penetration for the vast majority of guns.
The other issue i have is yes the T32 > than IS3 > KT but, the T34 and T30 seem to be utter POO compared to Russian and German tier 9/10. So if tier 5+ 6 US is worse than other nations, tier 7-8 will become the same instead of greater like currently. Tier 9-10 will remain seriously worse than the other nations.
SO WHY THE HECK WOULD ANYONE PLAY US HEAVIES?
This is a valid question.
If you are going to balance tier 7-8 which is understandable then at least for crying out load fix the utter drivel that are T1,M6, T34 and T30 tanks!!!

T32 is 127mm hull armor base + 20%
armor error = 152mm of armor on a much better slope and target
profile combined with a very durable turret armor.
I drive the T32. First few weeks of US tanks I had 167 kills to 9 deaths, I knew it was performing above spec, because I think I am good but I am not THAT good lol
T32 could not stay Tier 8 with those stats
