INC have announced the official release day for World of Tanks and
have given information on the Support your Clan feature.
“Today is March and we are ready to go live”, - Victor Kislyi says adding some details about financial matters that had to be solved.
Today in Europe and the USA WOT players enjoy beta test only but it has been officially announced that the release of the game will happen on April 12th 2011. As during the beta-test phase the game will still be free-to-play unless one wants to make fast progress purchasing a premium account. Although as Victor states, there are a number of Russian players who have gained tier 10 tank without spending a penny.
According to CEO Wargaming.net it is not hard to go as far as tier 5 or 6 without paying anything: “Afterwards, if you want tier 7, 8, 9 or 10, you still can do that for free but it will be much easier to share a little bit with us and make a little faster progress”.
However, Victor Kislyi highlights that unlike in many free-to-play games within World of Tanks there is always a way round. “They can play one tank to fund another one”, - he explains the figurative description of tanks “that are money-makers and tanks that are money-sucks” given by Markee Dragon.
The interlocutors stated also that they appear in the game themselves under the names Markee Dragon and Victor Kis. Replying to the question of the former on whether he wants his rivals to go easy on him, the latter said that they could go as hard as they wanted as he’d got Maus…
