To new players, things to know

Lert:   I've tested it, though that was a few patches ago. It's easy to test: go to a training room with a buddy. Find out at what range you can spot him under circumstances. Have him damage your optics. Then go and spot him again under replicated circumstances. You can also see if it you have a minimap mod that auto-updates your viewrange, like the one that comes with XVM.   Damaged optics in yellow state do not affect spotting range. Destroyed optics in red state give a 50% viewrange penalty.   Also, damaged tracks in yellow state do not affect mobility. They're just more likely to break on a hit or a fall than undamaged tracks.
