verbatim reply from the Help desk that confirmed I got banned for
killing a blue tank - needless to say in my original ticket I
quoted the rules that state you can't be punished for damaging or
killing a blue tank but rules be damned: Hi l_Chewie_l,
Thanks for contacting Wargaming Support. We've reviewed the replay
thoroughly. While it may seem like your teammate did it on purpose,
it wasn't his intent. Because of the way that the British light
tank he uses fires, (it's an autoloader that can fire multiple
rounds at a time), it hit you unintentionally. It was clearly
friendly fire in the heat of the battle. You should have stood down
but instead killed him for an honest mistake and hindered him from
participating in the battle. We believe the sanction placed on your
account is valid and therefore your appeal has been declined. We
apologize for the inconvenience and we hope you understand. Should
you have any further questions, feel free to get back to us any
time. Good luck and see you on the battlefield. Just a
footnote to add to this. I was pissed I got banned for
shooting a blue tank so I kept raising tickets because they would
never confirm I got banned for shooting a blue tank until the
ticket quoted above. Four separate tickets responded to by
four different Help desk individuals and each ticket asked the same
question and had the replay attached. They all responded that
it was correct that I got banned even though I quoted the rules to
them. I'm kinda speechless. KRZYBooP: I am familiar with the current WG ruling that you don't
shoot your team mates no matter the color of the text in the box.
You can shoot any tank in the match, but if you are shooting at a
team mate then you are opening yourself up to sanctions. This
is why we ask everyone to not retaliate by shooting the blue
tanks and submitting a ticket with a replay for any appeals or
concerns. Yes there is a damage thresh-hold and that player that
turned blue probably did his own vigilante justice or just hasn't
learned his lesson about snap shooting enemies so close to team
mates.
