How do racoons not rule the world ?

GhostPrime: I have a few Raccoon's where I live. I Was worried they would mess with my cats. So for no problems.   One timer I came upon a raccoon eating the dogs food in the garage while i was pulling my car in. I got out of the car went to the door to the inside of the house (right next to the dog food, and the raccoon) Once i got there, the raccoon stood up and just stared at me. I was not even two feet away. I just kinda look at him, and went in the house. I wasn't going to fight him.     Later I made sure the garage door was keep closed. Never had an issue again. Those things are not afraid of people at all.
